2016

Grant project in Nepal!
Our COP'Leaders Kishmat Pachhai and Nabina Sharma conducted with success the 2nd step of 'Clean and green city Butwal' project!
Thanks to the Nepalese student's club, some dustbins were installed in 12 several places! Moreover, more than 80 people cleaned the city!

Grant project in Nepal!
Our COP'Leader Ekta Jayaswal conducted with success her project "Awareness on Solid Waste Management to mitigate Climate Change through focal group Discussion and Demonstration of Composting Procedures", in Jiri, Nepal. Most of the farmers, youths and students were very concerned about the ongoing environmental hazards and they were willing to contribute from their own sides to waste management and mitigating climate change!

Green cheers to our COP'Leader Sudeep Ghimire for his successful project 'Green Schools'. Total of 80 students from 10 different schools were invited to attend a day long Climate Change workshop! They also planted 15 seedlings and waste bins were installed to encourage the concept of throwing waste in the bins!

By making farmers aware of climate change issues, finding the impacts of climate change on their agricultural practices and intervening the activities to help them improve their agricultural practices and production, our COP'Leader Kkrishna Neupane has successfully conducted his project ‘Workshop on Intervention of Climate Smart Agricultural' in Nepal!

Grant project in Nepal!
Our COP'Leader Jasmita Khadgi conducted with success a project, 'Creating Waste Café'. With the aim to make students aware of the waste management and to provide a hands-on experience about bin composting, Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) organized three training days. They successfully trained 119 students on proper waste management techniques through bin segregation and composting under the “creating a waste Café”. NYCA will monitor each of the school too and continue sensitizing the schools and communities through this kind of training!

Grant project in Nepal!
Congratulations to our COP'Leader Sharmila Pun for her project "Climate change and agriculture: Impacts and Adaption Methods" in Lamjung, Nepal. 83 people, both students and farmers attented the workshop!

Grant project in India!
In India, our COP'Leader Narayan Solanke led with success an original project called 'Greet 2°C'. Every person should greet the caller or receiver by saying ‘2°C’ instead of saying ‘Hello’ on phone. This will make a person questionable and curious about what this 2 degrees is? The answer will be – “The target we have to achieve until 2050 by reducing the CO2 emission to at least 80% in order to keep the global warming below 2°C.

Grant project in Nepal!
Many thanks to our COP'Leader Ashtha Lamsal for successfully implemented her project "Management of Plastics". The main objective of the project ‘management of plastics’ was to manage the plastics of the IOMT nursing college, in Nepal by 3R method : Reduce, Recycle, Reuse.

Climate Change Week in Palestine!
Our COP'Leader Saad Jaradat conducted with success his project, Climate Change National Week in Palestine". The main aim for this event is to engage the university students in the issues concerning climate change in the region and the importance of the COP, especially after the ratification of Paris agreement by the Palestine authority.

Local long-term projects subsidized, in Bhutan.
Our amazing COP'Leader Sunil Sapkota has successfully conducted a project 'Water Filter Installation Program' in Bhutan, in order to minimize the generation of plastic wastes, to ensure health safety of the students by offering access to clean drinking water and to create awareness among people on the importance of waste management!

COP in Dakar, Senegal!
On November 15th, our Regional Officer for Africa Ornella Tchanque conducted a COP in MyCity/Climate Interactive simulation in Dakar, Senegal. Around 30 young people from UNESCO club were trained on international climate negotiations with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Title Text. Local long-term projects subsidized, in Nepal.
The first step of the project "Clean & Green city Butwal", in Nepal, namely 'making people aware', subsidized by COP in MyCity has been successfully accomplished! Led by the Nepalese student's club, the aim is this project is to make a model of clean and green city in Nepal in order to inspire other cities, especially by managing solid waste in streets. Congratulations to our COP'Leaders Kishmat Pachhai and Nabina sharma for the work ! He also got the signature of the Finance Minister of Nepal AND the ICT minister of Nepal. Well done

World Climate Simunalation, COY12, Marrakech, Marocco
In partnership with Climate interactive, more than 60 students are working on climate negotiations at the COY12 - Conference Of Youth 12 to tackle climate change!

COP in MyCity in Burkina Faso!
From October 4th to 6th , CONAJEC organized the first National Conference of Youth for the Climate. During two days, climate negotiations took place, but also training and a company visit! More than 100 person attented the workshop! Many thanks to our COP'Leader Aboubacar Okana Loungue for his work, and his entire team!

COP in Washim, India !
Warm congratulations and thanks to our COP'Leader Narayan Solanke for his simulation on September 30th, in Saraswati College of Social Work Washim, India. 25 students attended the event!

COP in Africa !
In collaboration with Climate Interactive, a simulation took place in Dakar, Senegal. Many thanks to our COP'Leader Djibny Niang for this amazing job ! 52 young, from 12 youth organizations and NGOs attented the simulation ! Well done everyone !!

Simulation and action in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo!
Thanks to our COP'Leader Gentil Kulimushi from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a simulation and an action (Radio broadcast for the climate) were organized during the COP in Africa in Bukavu !! 35 young people were trained regarding climate change and energy issues. It's great to see the role of young people in the fight against climate change !

COP in MyCity in Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel !
On September 26, our COP'Leader Ekta Jayaswa organized a simulation in Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel. Good job everyone !!

Green Action in Yaoundé, Cameroun !
On September 26th, young in Yaoundé, Cameroun organized a green action in partership with the Yaoundé urban community. Many thanks to Alphonse, our COP'Leader, and to all participants !

COP in MyCity in Chitwan, Nepal.
On September 21th, 2016-World Climate Simulation, COP in MyCity, Chitwan, Nepal, was organized successfully with 24 active participants from Prerana Higher Secondary School. The simulation was organized by the Union of Veterinary and Agriculture Students (UVAS) and led by our COP'Leader Pramisha Thapaliya. Bindu Bhandari, our Asia Regional Officer was invited as a special guest and she introduced COP in MyCity in catchy way !

COP in MyCity in Baneshwor, Nepal !
On September 21th, another simulation took place in Baneshwor, Nepal, organized by Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) and supported by Clean Energy Nepal. Many thanks to our COP'Leader Jasmita Khadgi and to all participants (25) for this simulation !

COP in MyCity in Lamjung, Nepal.
On September 15th, a simulation took place at Lamjung Nepal in the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, organized by our COP'Leader Narendra Pokhrel. 30 participants were trained about COP in MyCity simulations and climate negotiations. Congratulations everyone!!

COP in MyCity in Palestine !
On September 8th, a simulation was organized in Palestine by our COP'Leader Saad Jaradat ! More than 25 person took part in the simulation and were trained about climate change !

COP in MyCity in Bhairahawa, Nepal !
On September 10th, a second phase of COP in MyCity Bhairahawa, Nepal, was successfully organized by Network of Youth for Environment (YEN), in collaboration with Youth for Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture. Many thanks to the 25 participants and to our COP'Leader Krishna Neupane ! Well done everybody!

COP in MyCity in Punakhan, Bhutan !
On September 2nd, our COP'Leader Sunil Sapkota conducted a COP in MyCity simulation. 28 participants were trained on climate negociations and climate change!

COP in MyCity in Eldorado !
Thanks to our COP'Leader Marcela Cevallos, a simulation was conducted on July 22th in Quito, Ecuador, in collaboration with RENAJU, a Youth organization in Ecuador. This first simulation was a success, more than 150 were trained, that's why other simulations will be conducted in every province of Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands ! Great to see this positive energy in Ecuador !!

Results of contests !
In June and July 2016, COP in MyCity was twice rewarded as an innovative solution. The first one was  ‘21 solutions for tomorrow’, organized by The Comité 21, a network of stakeholders involved in the operational implementation of sustainable development.
The second one was ‘100 Projects for the Climate’ organized by the French Ministry of Environment, Energy and Seas. COP in MyCity is among the 100 climate actions elected by world citizens as a part of the “100 Projects for the Climate” initiative. We are now invited to join a worldwide network of climate change actors and contribute to a collaborative dynamics of change !

Cop in MyCity in Ouagadogou, Burkina Faso.
On July 12th, a training was conducted by the National Coordination of Youth for the Environment and the Climat. 56 students were trained on climate negociations, and how to conduct a COP in MyCiy simulation. Many thanks to Dodé Heim Myline Houehounha for his presentation and our COP’Leader Okana Lougue !

Cop in MyCity in Tanahun, Nepal.
On June 26th, a simulation was conducted at Damauli Public English School, Tanahun Nepal by our COP’Leader Subash Sunar. Several sudents were trained on climate change, climate negotiations, and learned about COP in MyCity !

Cop in MyCity in Paris.
On May 28th, a simulation was organized by the Center of Research and Interdisciplinary in the Tour Montparnasse. 30 students were mobilized and played the role of decision-makers negotiating on the COP21 agreement !

Training of Trainers (TOT) in Lamjung, Nepal. 
On May 23rd, Thanks to Youth For Agriculture in the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, 43 students were trained on climate change and climate negociations, about how to become a COP’leader and implement COP in MyCity at the local level !

CliMates/Cop in MyCity Mali in Bamako.
On April 21th, a training session on energy and climate was organized in Bamako, Mali, by CliMates/Cop in My City Mali, along with some interactive games on "greenhouse effect".

2015

Cop in MyCity and REJEF in Tsévié, Togo.
On December 12th, 2015, a training session was organized in Tsévié, along with a awareness campaign on the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags and the waste management.

A mobilization/action project took place in Bhairahawa, Nepal.
On October 6th, 2015, the programm was successful and mobilized around 150 students from different geographical, religious and social backgrounds!

COP in MyCity in Abidjan, University of Cocody organized its simulation!
On August 28th, 2015, the youth has done an incredible job and mobilized many young change makers, congratulations!
